PROJECT BRIEF
We have always focused on helping our clients generate value from their databases. In a workshop with AJ Grant we identified an opportunity to solve onsite communication issues via the implementation of an iOS app designed for iPads. They wanted to simplify their claims assessment process. In particular, they wanted to ensure their staff, when offline, could still record information quickly and easily and combine it with relevant photos of the event, then automatically sync to their database when online again.
SOLUTIONS DELIVERED
We developed two iOS apps that streamlined the assessment process for AJ Grant.
The first app, Home Assess Pro, allowed home owners to video record home damage from their mobile phone using the downloadable app.
The second app, BP Assessing, allowed assessors to work through forms and questionnaires on their iPads while on premise, including MakeSafe procedures. They can do this even when offline, then synchronise data with the central database when online.
RESULTS
Improving the insurance claims process
Home Assess Pro allows claims officers to guide home owners to capture the images required for a damage assessment. Recorded videos are saved along with details captured by the claims officer.
BP Assessing enabled assessment of claims in areas with little or no internet reception or where infrastructure had been damaged due to a catastrophe. The app generates reports includes a costing tool that helps the assessor estimate repair costs.
This drastically improved the efficiencies of their assessment process and created opportunities for AJ Grant to provide additional value-add services to claimants during the assessment of damaged properties.
